Can't get any good pics from this potential seller. I know it's ten lugs....looks like it's missing the tone control...and I'm pretty sure it is a Slingerland. Anyone else decipher anything from this pic ?
Slingerland ID

I don't know for sure..but it looks like 8 lugs to me,and a rapid strainer..dark blue sparkle, which is red sparkle underneath.Early 60"s .I think its a Hollywood Ace,3 ply.No way to tell for sure without a few more photos, especially of the strainer.

Would be nice to see more pics. Stick saver rims, lugs, and dark blue sparkle finish all point to a 60's Hollywood ace. The hole on that panel looks to me like where the badge should be. Slingy tone controls had a set of two holes, one for the tone control knob and one for the set screw slightly below it.
Lugs look off to me I think its an MIJ copy
Late 30s Slingerland Radio King- 7x14

Sorry it is 8 lugs. I hear you on the two holes for the tone control but comparing it to the catalog scan that is where the tone control should be assuming that dial in the back sticking up is the strainer. This one of those guys that borrowed a camera. I'll just ask em if it has the Slingerland badga on it.
Thanks

I'm leaning towards a MIJ copy here, that strainer knob sticking up doesn't look right, and I'm with musicaldeath about the lugs.

I think you & Musicaldeath are correct. I just looked at my 64 Hollywood Ace and the badge, strainer and tone control are all on consecutive panels. The badge is set between the two.
Guy did also have a Decca and a Remco in the collection. Think I am gonna pass. Does have this bug old field drum too though.
Thanks D

The potential seller ended up sending over some more pics. Badge is gone as well as tone control and I think the MIJ call was spot on. You guys ?
