I've decided to hold on to this snare, not many of them around and it sounds so good.

OK guys, this is a good price for this snare, someone needs to jump on it, this is the real deal. Buddy used the exact same kind of drum with the rectangle Fibes badge.

Still available.

I just saw one of these sell on here with the Fibes square badge for the same price I'm asking for mine. This one has the rectangle badge, just like the one Buddy Rich used. What's the deal?

Relax, you just posted this yesterday. You need to be more patient when posting in the for sale section.:2Cents:

Hey guys. Is that shell fiberglass?

If so, what is the glass color?

Very smooth, thin shell.

Thanks SA

Yes, The shell is fiberglass.Fibes shells are painted black inside or maybe not painted at all in that case the color is a lite brown/tan...Mikey

I have seen pics of other fibes shells. On some toms, a bearing edge was formed as a lip that rolls over the top then back down like a metal snare drum shell. It looks like this snare does not have the roll over bearing edge.

Krupa liked FG as well as Belson. Belson had a Blaemire shell snare that was wrapped and disguised to look like a Slingerland.

I wonder if Buddy ever used a Blaemire???

It's my understanding that the first years of Fibes shell's were black with the liped rounded edge's..Then Fibes shell's were with -out the lip and the color was a brown/tan color of shell....Mikey
