Hey there, just feel like showing off my first vintage kit. A '69 (I think) Yamaha C-220. I'm absolutely loving it! Although I haven't had a gig with it yet, I've recorded with it for my bands new EP and it sounds amazing. I'd love to hear from other Yamaha players. And also if anyone can help me in finding a matching Snare for this kit?

That is indeed a sweet kit. I'm no expert, but my bet would be that the kit came with a chrome snare.
You should maybe re-post this in the non-usa section. While many of the non-usa guys read all the sections, you may get more responses from the correct section. There are a few guys there that would more than likely be able to tell you ALL about that kit.
I've got a Crest kit that is nearly the same wrap. I've not restored it yet, but will be doing it very soon. It's snare is chrome.

That set came with a wooden matching wrapped snare. Search my screen name, I think I've posted a pic of my set. My set is a c-200, slightly smaller bass and toms.
thanks guys. yeah it definitely came with a matching 'Blue Thunder' wrapped snare. I've re-posted in the 'Buying' section.
Nice kit. I have an immaculate C220 kit in Red Thunder. Yes, they did come with the matching wood snare like the one pictured. I sold this one to a fellow forum member - but at least you know they are around. I take it you saw the one on UK Ebay? It needed a bit of restoration though.
I do have some spare lugs etc if you are missing anything else.

That snare sold for 76.00-{US}- i was going to bid but with the shipping at 77.00 i did not bid on the snare...Mikey
