Remove the paint.

I did it with my Psyche red basdrum.

I have done chemical strips on shells. I have also done my fair share of sanding them. Actually, this is the 1st time I've bought a drum that 's already defiled. Also the first time to strip the inside of a shell.

It's tragic that some chucklehead painted the clear interior BLACK, but as usual I'm ready for battle. I'm worried that paint stripper might leak out and eat the wrap, so I guess it'll be sanded down. URGHH! Cooked Egg

I will post an update, hopefully before I develop black lung. Dust mask is definitely in order. I'll need to develop a super hero persona for this one...Party

You can maybe put some tape on the wrap, to protect it from that paintremover... It could work!?!

One question....

I have seen a several Psyche red that basdrum interior is painted Red?!?!?

( and some black... and red under that black....)

You know anything about it?
