6.5 Acrolite Shell !!! Last viewed: 8 minutes ago

School score? Nice! At my school, we only used the 5" deep ones from that era. That's what I first learned to drum on.

I've got the modern era 6.5" deep "Blacrolite", but have never seen the B/O badge ones in person before.

Walking Completed...put together...and hands down...THE BEST SOUNDING SNARE DRUM I WILL EVER OWN !!! Jump For Joy I am FLABBERGASTED !!! Eye Ball Maybe it has something to do with the chroming process(nickle bath, copper bath, then chrome bath...adding weight),and this being a polished LUD-O-LOY shell, sounds better then my 4-digit 6.5-supraphonic,AND cob !!! but i guess these drums (mentioned) are really the only snares i will ever need to do the job...RIGHT??? Yes Sir !!!

That thing looks amazing all assembled. The one thing I miss on the modern 6.5" Blacrolite is that it doesn't have the felt muffler installed in the shell like the B/O one you have does.

What a cool drum. I used to have an Acro but it was a parts drum. I had hopes of restoring it but I ended up using the throw off for a Supraphonic. I have played 5" Acro's that sounded really great. The one I had was really dry and could not hang with the Supra so I sold it. I would like to try the 6.5 deep model.
