14x5.5 Peace Snare

The serial #'s are 755-xxx, so I'm guessing it's a 1970 Black Oyster Pearl. It's been my only kit for years, and is still holding up pretty well.

Nice kit. It looks well-kept.

P*ssy Galore. The poster was included in the Dial M for MotherF'er LP.

Yes 755xxx could well be late 1969. I've recorded a few more badge numbers on drums with date stamps since the other published lists were compiled. I got interested because I've got a 760xxx kit. The changeover from keystone to blue/olive is supposed to be at 750xxx (give or take) and I haven't seen an exception to that yet. All the keystones I've recorded are less than 750xxx and all the blue/olives are, like yours, over 750xxx. I've recorded 754865, 755614, and 755295 (all blue/olive). But alas, they had no date stamps. I presume yours don't as well?

Interesting. Nope, no date stamps on any of them.

Very nice.

Here's my kit from '76, played these for years also.

Do'nt think I'll ever part with them, they just sound so good.

That finish is so different from Richard Starrs that I wouldn't even call it Oyster Black........

It is a VERY cool finish though...............

I could have grabbed a 24,12,13,16,18 kit in nice shape some years back, and wish I had..............really stands out.

Get your self some Luddy Atlas stands, more cymbals, and it will look even better

(get rid of the PEARL stand(s)).Yukko
