Nice looking kit. What don't you like about the BD?

I bet it's the lugs.... love 'em or hate 'em... I don't think there is an in-between.

If that Supra is as sweet up close as it is in the pic, I think I would hang on to her and sell the rest....

Exactly, I don't like the lugs. It sounds nice, and, all the drums are in nice condition.

I will sell it if I can get a decent price for it.

I have no idea what to expect, it's not a usual kit. With the cost of the kit, plus the restoration,it cost me around $1400.

There are so many experts out there, I am sure someone will give me an appraisal.

Lot's of Club Dates for sale as you mentioned, thank you for bringing it to my attention. I prefer the Classic drums, a drummer at a Burnaby "watering

hole" was playing a sixties BDP Classic kit with matching snare. He laughed when I offered to buy it, even before I mentioned a price.

I love the Supra, if I can get a kit with a matching BDP snare, I will sell it.

I know the post has only been up for a few hours but I have not had one comment regarding the value of my mixed up drum kit. In the photo I was trying the drums using the original snare stand as a tom mount.

Probably around $1000 for just the drums, for the right buyer. I'm still scratching my head why you don't just enjoy them and play them. That's a cool looking set, and it sounds as good as a classic set (some like the sound of the Club Date shells better). Another option would be for you to bide your time, keep some money in reserve and keep looking for a same-era BDP Classic bass drum. Then when you get it, if it is better than the Club Date bass, you could sell your bass to help pay for it. Same for the matching snare you're looking for--keep eyes open for the snare, buy it, then sell the supra to help pay for it. Meanwhile you've got a dynamite set of drums you can play right now.

BTW prices are all over the place. I think that price would be a bit ambitious, but in the end you could sell for more or less depending on the market, where you sell it, etc.
