Found a (no chrome) brass supra in 5 x 14 rounded B/O badge # 2062xxx.
It has a black face throw, and my question is... is this an 1980s snare or one of those new snares with an old style badge. Sorry/ no pics (on my phone and can't send).??

That will be a post 1984 snare drum, the black face strainers went out of production sometime in the 90's, and the round edged b/o badge is indicative of that time period. As far as i know, the most recent round b/o badges are only used on black beauty 2nds from the ludwig factory - often with just mild blemishes in the black nickel finish.D' Drummer
