New to the forum player and collector. Some of you may know me from other drum forums. I've got several vintage drum sets that I gig. I joined the forum because I always have my eye out for additions to what my wife calls “your mental health activity”. I have two ’67 Rogers sets both with flat gray interiors with Dayton tags and close numbers. A 8x12, 14x14, 14x20 in champagne glass and a ’67 champagne glass Buddy Rich Celebrity that is 9x13, 16x16 and 14x22. I also have the matching wood '67 Dynasonic, wood Powertone and a ’67 brass Dynasonic. Beyond Rogers I have a ‘70 player's Ludwig 8x12, 9x13, 16x16, 16x18, 14x22 in blue glass rewrap. All with clear interiors and re-rings and a 1980 LM402 to go with it. That’s it for vintage stuff. Let’s see if the pictures attach right.

BTW I’m always on the lookout for a ‘60s WMP Gretsch, Singerland, or Ludwig set with 14x22 bass drums.

Also would you call the Rogers set with the 14x20 bass drum a Headliner?

Anyway. Hi y'all.

I have been told that the kind of mounts,swivo/ knobby and placement on the kick drum indicate what model you could have,I have a 20 12 14 wmp/1967 with the 12 and 20 cleveland, the 14 ft flat grey dayton with the two swivo mounts in the same place as your kit, and was told over at DFO that it was probably a Roy Burns/Starlighter.

That could be. Although the 1967 catalog shows the cymbal arm attached with a knobby rather than the swivo/hex mount. I bought it from Steve Maxwell about 6 years ago and it has the best chrome and finish color of any champagne I've ever seen.

I love the depth of the wrap on the smaller set. Best I've ever seen. I have no idea why, but the drum head has more pics snapped of it than I do. All by women. Cool1
