1940s WFL "Sticky" Badge Kit Last viewed: 1 minute ago

Hey guys.

Picked this up over the weekend for $120. )26"x14" and 11" x 7":D

Love the history here. -I think by the guide readings that these are from right before or during WWII. Badges are totally fine. The guy who I bought them from sold a 13" tom that went with it to a guy who wanted something on his shelvesCryBaby. I'm trying to get a hold of him.

Wrap and shells are totally fine. Wrap has mellowed (I have yet to clean anything).

Questions?

*What do I do with this?

*Sell, hold and try to collect other pieces to it? (I'm dying to play it at some point. )

*Can someone send me a pic on how the toms attached to the rim of the bass. I have some pieces of the mechanism but not all. (I think).

If you have any parts related to this (heads , snare, pedal, ft, stuff, thoughts).LEMME KNOW!!!

Evapo-Rust from Auto Zone is what you want.......

$10 a quart.........you might need 2......

get a big, deep container to put the hoops in,pour the ER over them, check every 1/2 hour or so.......don't let them sit for too long though!

You can re-use the ER also! Just pour back into container when done..........

I have an 11" Ludwig and 13" Ludwig tom that is the same style and color that yours is. Both have the original tacked on calfskin heads on the bottom. Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks WFL

I actually found the matching 13" (the one separated from the kit) by a miracle. So I'm good on the toms and I've ordered calfs for both.

I'm looking good on this, just needs a special p-83 off of a 1941 school model WFL snare.
