Ludwig early 70's Oyster Black Pearl??? Last viewed: 2 minutes ago

Is this wrap OBP or bowling ball or are they the same? The drum in the pic is an early 70's bass drum. The pattern seems a bit different from the OBP's that I have seen on this site.

Who's Shaun?

I am trying to figure out if this is a re-wrapp myself. I am considering purchasing this kit but based on the pic the pattern seems odd to me. The seller says he bought it used and he himself has never re-wrapped it.

I havn't seen the drums in person yet. If it is determined that the wrap isn't era correct I'm not going to bother.

Here are more pics.

I aint quite sure about about the 18" and the 12" but the rest of the kit looks original to me.

The thing is

pics dont do justice to this wrap,

Very beautyfull, with the blueish cloud in between the white and black sort of stripes.

All that in deeep 3D .

I know it's sadly reffered as bowling ball but IMHO the BOP second generation has nothing to do with bowling balls, when in your face.

Just took this pic

the 18" is from 1976, and the 16" on the right is from 1969,70

both of them are original and... different from the Ringo's BOP.

Hope this help
