You may be better off getting a machine shop to "heli-coil" that part. The heli-coil has stronger threads than the original white metal butt plate.

I'll guess it's a steel-shelled "Festival" model from around 1980. It has a "Rapid" strainer, not a "Zoomatic". Pretty nice bonus.
