Ah OK..... here goes:
No pics yet, just weights and description, and priced to move. These cymbals were purchased in 1953 by original owner in Manny's NYC.
15" High Hats (rare!): 878g Top/941g Bottom, making these on the light side of medium hats. Big, dark and sloshy open, with a nice "chup" pedal sound (can you say "Ringo"?). Surface-cleaned to remove dirt, no cleaning or polishing performed, yet they shine almost like new with a deep gold color. Bottom cymbal marked as "top" with paint marker by original owner (will remove if desired) on the under side, so it is invisible when playing. No cracks, dents or hole wear. A 9.5 out of 10. $600.00
18" Crash-Ride: 1748g This cymbal, in contrast to the dark hats, has lots of sparkle, air and sustain. It's a SUPER and perfect medium crash-ride and not at all dark. Excellent bell tone. Surface-cleaned to remove dirt. No cleaning or polishing. Some tape marks on top. No keyholing or cracking. An 8.5 out of 10.$275.00
Also available (non-Zildjian):
Pasha 12" Paperthin Splash 509g Made in Italy: thin, breathy, dark and delicate. Just a beautiful-sounding cymbal. Rotocast of B20 bronze. Not sure of the age, but the owner is the same as the rest of the cymbals, and he hung up his sticks in the early 60's, when everything got stored away, so it's at least around 50 years old. No cracks or keyholing. Surface-cleaned to remove dirt. No cleaning or polishing. Perfect fast splash for the small-band jazz context, as it requires the lightest touch. An 8.5 out of 10 $80.00
