Had the good fortune to see several concerts this past week. Two nights, I saw a phenomenal Elton John sing-play-like-him kinda guy who had a full band backing. The theater was excellent and the sound was great. Drummer played a DW kit that sounded like crap, but it's the cymbals that caught my ear. The hats and ride flat out floored me. I went up on stage and spoke with the gent after the show. Turns out, the hats were a very cool pairing of a 60s Zildjian hat with a newer Constantinople for the top. Unreal sounds. The ride was yet another wonderful confirmation of the 21 Zildjian Sweet Ride. Man, that cymbal did it all.
