Yamaha Tour Custom "Moto X" Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Loading...

I am looking at a used Yamaha Tour Custom "Moto X" it is just the shell kit. All Maple. It has a 24" bass drum, 12" rack tom, and 16" floor, with a 14" snare. The guy says it was a limited release, which may explain why I can't find much info on the kit. It seems to have been taken care of not many scratches or dings. His ad requests me to make an offer, which tells me he doesn't know what it is worth. I am curious as to what these kits are selling for in today's market.

Thanks for the help.

Jeremiah

Check the usual places for regular tour custom kits and add a bit for the cool paint job.

Be SURE it is all maple... It may be since it is a limited kit, but I thought the Tour drums were Maple/poplar or something like that.

If it is all maple, it is on par (probably the same shells) as the maple custom line from the same era, so they might be worth a bit more.

Yamaha makes great shells so I think you will be quite happy with the sound of them provided you are happy with the price...

Here's one like the one in your photo:

Most of these appear to be priced in the $1200. range.
