Yamaha kit - help me identifying it

the thing that's throwing me in the photos is the second tom. This model only came with a 20" BD. Tom 1 looks to be 12" which means the second tom would be a 14" FT. From the photos it looks too shallow leading me to wonder if it is the FT but has been cut down and then the Prem FT added. These kits with those lugs only ever had one ride tom as far as I'm aware. So maybe some genius turned the FT into a 2nd ride tom.DOH

You're right. This serie of Yamaha drums were produced in 20" bd + 12"/14" toms and 20" bd + 13"/16" toms.

The bottom tom in the picture looks shallower than 14". Maybe it has 14" of diameter but I'm almost sure it hasn't 14" of depth.

Do you think the toms are 12"x8" and 13"x9"? The gap between the hoops leads me to 14" but ... let's wait until the kit comes home.

The snare looks like a sonor swinger snare.

Beware of the plastic lugs, they are known for breaking at higher tensions.

Thanks for the warning about the plastic lugs.

Fayray, you were right. The Yamaha floor tom was "converted" to a 2nd tom and the Premier 16" floor tom was added. The tom holder was modified, extra holes everywhere, black paintjob in all shells, hardware and even bass drum front head!

I bought this kit but I didn't have room for it. I asked a friend to keep it until I free some space. Today I bring it home and took some photos, you can see below. Cheers

Anyone recognize this tom holder? Any idea about the brand, model, decade? It is really sturdy and heavy.

the rerings in the toms would suggest they are early toms 67 the year that they entered the market, bit of a basket case but some great elements there.
