It's a scam. The real listing was a few months ago...the scammer took the pics and description, and offers a low buy it now within the description. It seems once decide on a kit or snare, we have to see their scam attempts over and over. The good thing is that ebay usually catches on and pulls it pretty quick (they used to let it run), but who knows how many people get pulled in during the short time it's visible. I've seen that same Oyster Black kit scam about 10 times now in the last couple of months.
The same thing happened to me a week or two ago. I put it on watch list and it was gone the next time I looked - no record at all. I can see how scammers would go for what could net the most proceeds into their accounts quickly by picking this set as a lure.

Bill is absolutely correct here, plus... as soon a I see these "links" on the VDF, I delete them for the most part. The main reason is, besides the scam problem... ALL these eBay/craigslist links end up DEAD over time, rendering the original thread useless.

absolutely a scam. The ad always states "DON'T BID...EMAIL XXX#$%"
I immediately bid about 30 bids starting at $1.
I was caught in that scam about a year ago. I paid for the set via paypal, then the paypal was refunded and they wanted a Western Union payment to somewhere in Europe. At that point I knew it was a scam and I contacted ebay. It was a different set of pictures then but it always came up with a different seller but the same ad. Each and every time I immediately bid about 30 times and then send them a message saying they are once again busted and then I contact ebay. Every single time because I am still burnt over falling for their scam the last time.
This ad will come up again in about 3 days. It was up twice this week.
Just bid about 100 times and it will be gone the next day.
P.S. ebay doesn't "catch" them...I do. Every single time. As a matter of fact, because of the emails that were sent when I fell for that one posting I STILL get spam mail from one of the contacts because they now have my email address. Next time you see this ad you'll see someone that bids 30 or 40 times. You can thank me. And the posting will be down the next day.
Amazing. I'd join any posse to hunt down these dirtbags & practice some rudiments on their skins -

I've tried to get ebay to nail the person(s) posting this using other accounts but they don't seem interested in that much work. They just remove the posting and feel like they did their job.

Me too man. I've had a lot of customers over the years that have lost thousands of dollars to these slimebags. I've lost a couple grand myself to credit card chargeback fraud. What I wouldn't give to meet these people face to face (or better yet in a courtroom).

Very, very sorry you got stuck. I sometimes wonder why no one's gone at least 1/2- let alone full-Dexter on snakes such as these. (I don't really think this is a feasible option, so no PM's please @ arranging any field trips. Just makes me feel better to vent Excited)
