Duralines were Kevlar; the Canasonic were some sort of tight nylon mesh, approaching calfskin feel. I loved them on snare drums back in the 80s.

Are they similar to the first run of Fiberskyn? The reason I ask is because I have some different type of drum heads (NOS) and might have similar type.

I had one head on my Pearl all maple shells drumset back in the early 80's. It was on the 12" tom and it sounded great. I wish that I had had a complete set of them on all of my toms, but I was in high school and just didn't have the money. I don't remember buying the head so it must have been given to me. I do remember throwing it away in the mid 90's because whatever coating that they had on the surface starting to just chip away. Sort of remember the head being some type of woven fibers. Great sounding heads.
