WTB: 60's Ludwig floor tom

Loading...

Hey all. So I'm putting together a 60's Ludwig kit from orphans and am now looking for a floor. Right now I have a 22" kick from '65 and a 13" tom from '68, white interior, not club dates, both in White Marine Pearl. So my ideal floor would be a non club date 16" in WMP. However, color is not really all that important to me... Also, I'm definitely not opposed to looking into club dates... Really open to a lot right now, just so long as it sounds good. If you have anything you think I might be into, please get in contact with me. Thanks!

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

Wanted to bump this thread. I didn't ever find anything I was that into when I first posted this thread, but now I'm serious about completing this kit now that I sold my other. Thanks!

Hi, I have 2 Ludwig Super Classic Floor Toms, both in WMP #1 has a white interior, BBB ITC, ser.#54589x with clear date stamp of Nov 29 1967. Definately Mahogany sound to it, She thinks shes an 18", #2 has a clear maple lacquer interior, round knob ITC, ser.#62376x the date stamp is Jun 20 1968 or 1969 the 8 or 9 is slightly smudged and havent taken a magnifying glass to it. Both floot toms are in collectors condition and had the original factory heads on when I purchased the set. The 68 or 69 still smells of wood. Dont ask how that is possible I dont know but it does. I can sendd some detailed photos to you but please be specific in what you want photghraphed. you can see an overall shot (3) if you hit 67 Super Classics from my 1st post. Thanks, Roger rblocke@hotmail.com

Just want to keep all options open, afterall one floor tom, the 68/9 is an add on, I'am going to send photos to another member and wait on his reply, he has a 70s silver sparkle Ludwigs with a 24,13,16,18 that I would like to possibly trade for. If I dont make a trade I will sell as a 3PC 22,12,16 or add a LM410 and sell the second 16 separately. I've been trying to get a 24" bass drum to match but that is almost impossible, finding a 24" keystone WMP with a rail mount is almost impossible. I did luck out and get a Virgin 24" Slingerland Bass Drum which will be the beginning of a keeper. Thought I was buying a 16x24" for 321.00 last month on ebay but it turned out to be a 14" depth, it was in such stellar condition I didnt want to return it. Clear Maple Lacquer, early 70s, 4 spurs and a steal of a deal as far as I'am concerned. I still think Vintage American made drums from the 50s,60s, and 70s are way under valued.

Hello. I have a November 1965 Ludwig WMP 16X16 floor tom. It is structurally perfect and has original heads. I haven't tried to clean it up yet but it has yellowed pretty bad on parts of the wrap. Let me know if you are interested.
