I noticed on my floor tom after our gig, that the wrap is not flush against the shell at some parts. The heads go on easily and spin around without much effort and the drum tunes up nice and sounds great. Could this cause a problem down the road and if so, is there anyway to fix it without removing the wrap? Any help in this matter would be appreciated, thanks.

Isn't this the tape wrap your talking about?
Yes, I 'm not sure what happened.
I had problems with the wrap not being tight to the shell all around [taped seams] until I took it back off and glued it down. Temp and humidity will expand and shrink wrap wherever it's not attached...even a tiny bit bothered me.

How did you glue it down? The whole shell? It really doesn't bother me because the drum tunes up and sounds great, but I'm wondering if it could cause cosmetic issues down the road.
Contact cement all the way around. I use the nasty petroleum based stuff cuz it always works. If the wrap is "breathing" on the shell, over time it could cut itself around the casings, especially if you have the casings screwed on real tight. Or it could just crack randomly on one of the panels...
It's possible I'm over-reacting on this, but I really didn't want any of the above to happen.
