I mean, the only thing missing is Joe himself!! This is period correct for early Joe. I know because I saw him play a set exactly like this one in 1961. The seller correctly points out that this is pre Ringo and Ludwig’s quality did suffer with the mass, make that MASS production of post Ringo…sorry but it’s true.

Anyway, what a beauty! Alas too many drums, not enough space.

Only problem I have with the listing is the use of the word “Mint.” Mint means uncirculated…oh don’t get me started.

Way cool! Never seen one of these. Check out the lugs…the tension rods are fixed to the lugs and the drum is tensioned via wing nuts. No strainer or snares though…hum.

My question is, what is the "something is loose inside it when I tumble it around." Boy does that get the imagination going!!

That Luddy kit is a pretty good find. If it goes for $800, that would be a great deal!
