hi everyone,
i received this very special drum in a trade deal i recently did and am offering it up for sale!
1962 Ludwig Pre-Serial keystone badge Blue Oyster Pearl Jazz Festival Snare Drum
100% original condition with new heads, no extra holes or mods
wrap is vibrant and in great shape
chrome is in great shape as well!
tuned her up and she sounds excellent, its that jazz fest sound!
the drum is in excellent condition, sounds great and is a winner all around!
i am having a hard time trying to estimate a price to sell this drum for.
ive been researching what these drums in this finish have been selling for and ive found everything from one on reverb . com selling for $1799, some previous owners saying they've sold theirs between 12-1500, down to steve maxwell personally telling me i should be able to clear $1000 easy on it. i was told by steve and have seen many others saying that the value increases on the vibrancy of the wrap, and this one seems to be in excellent condition with no browning or much aging to it, all the colors in the wrap display beautifully.
i have never done this before, and this will be a first for me in the history of the forum, but i will be accepting offers on this drum. i know, its a pain in the butt and all, trust me, im just really not sure what to ask and dont want to give it away or price myself too high on it. so send me an offer we can both live with and its yours!
thanks
