If i use priority Mail international then its muuuuuch cheaper. But i dont get how the measurement restrictions - it says "max length 42 inches, max length plus girth combined 79 inches"
So would my 18" concert tom work?

It means the 2 longest dimensions of the box must be <= 79 inches. You're good.
