I have been working as extras recently on a lot of shows and movies and turned down blue man group and just missed a jazz drummer spot on a tv show it really was close . how many here are a full time drummer/ entertainer or part time ?

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

could you tell us what the blue man group audition was like?

I think that would be too cool.

Saw Blue Man last month at Universal Studio's in Florida. Amazing percussion performances. That looks like it would be a fun performance even after the 200th night. You need to be young and unattached to go on a long show tour like that.

My ex-son-in-law tried out for BMG in NY and it was a cattle call. The day he went the waiting room was full of drummers trying out for the open spots. Not an easy gig to score, lots of competition for a very few open spots. He was bummed out after the audition after being so excited initially about the possibility.

John

Too many great drums to list here!
