once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Scott - Now you know why the cat wore gloves! If you had followed his lead and donned a glove you could have avoided scarring yourself.Sincerely,Capt. Hindsight! LOL Good road story... John

My first drum teacher was missing a half of his first finger. Maybe he stomped hihats really HARD one time...

Anyway, I burst my knuckles from time to time, but once I just kinda grinded off all the skin from one spot on my finger - taught me to hold the sticks properly and not like a pig!

Nice one Gilnar! The ladies love scars (well maybe they don't but guys have to turn everything into a positive) When asked about it you might want to come up with a better story than "I was holding my drum sticks incorrectly." Jump For Joy

LoLoLoLoGottal love battle (or musical) scars for bragging rights.

I haven't drawn blood behind my drum set, but a couple decades ago I split open my finger on my Gon Bop bongos and made a nice red on cream tie dye burst pattern on the drum head. Didn't brag too much, though. I mostly just whined a lot;)
