That bent snare guard bugs me. It IS bent. Those are very tough pieces of steel and you cannot bend it back with your finger unless it's cracked. It looks like it came from another drum and the hole spacing didn't fit so it was bent to fit.

The serial number says 1968 Dayton. Even with the bent snare guard it still looks really good. Great silver wrap and the chrome looks clean. You can get replacement guards used or new. However, the current market is very soft. Older Dynas that I've seen in as good shape have only been going for around $1500.
