I picked up this wmp snare from Rockin Robin, they thought it was a vintage Pearl, can anyone confirm this?

Vertical grain implies its MIJ, unless something else points in another direction

Yeah - looks to me that they were right. Rims have likely been upgraded. I have heard MIJ snares sound GREAT before. The rims should definitely be a factor - less resonance actually. Looks like it has a Slingerland or Gretsch knob on it, though the strainer surely is MIJ. Not a bad score by any means - so long as you did not pay too much for it.
I would recommend trying some Puresound wires on it.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

I actually traded a no-name clear acrylic snare I picked up in a pawnshop for $40, so I think it was a good deal.

That looks a lot like a Crown snare I picked up in WMP, but there's no re-rings on mine
