Jay is one of my favourite drummers and a real vintage head. Fantastic player.

The kit he is mainly seen with is a gold sparkle set of rolling bombers the sizes are I think a 26" bd 9x13 and 12x14 toms and a white marine pearl rolling bombers 16x16 floor tom. the snare looks like a 7x14.

Slightly OT - Just saw Plant with 'Strange Sensation' an incredible band from the UK featuring Dave Smith on drums and keyboardist John Baggot (Massive Attack) What a show. One of the most interesting concerts I've seen with the added attraction of 'Playing For Change' as support. Anyway, it looked to me as if Dave Smith was playing some kind of vintage Ludwig snare with rim clips and a parallel snare action (?) Sounded very cool. Love to know what that was. Also his cymbals were just beautiful I think the large, very heavily hammered crash could have been a Paiste Masters? Love to hear more of this interesting young drummer. PS Vintage is not going away!
