Here are my 12 and 16 Wildwoods with flat grey interiors. My question would be...what is rare? Low production numbers? Offered only a short time? Low numbers available today? Prototypes? Custom finishes? Finding your first kit? I always wanted one like this? It's a harder question than it seems at first.BTW on the Ludwig side I would rather have a natural maple Bonham sized late 60's kit.
Cooool kit. I just saw a project wildwood kit on ebay, yesterday. I was thinking of picking them up and take a year to work on them. Then, my wife reminded me of all the stuff we have to do around the house. Yuck.
I have a blue strata kit, and that finish is pretty rare. I have been trying for years to find a 12in tom for that kit. Bobby from Jollity Drum Farm just laughed when I asked if he had this tom. The time frame is 1967-1972 for blue strata, and it was low production. It's a sharp finish under the stage lights.
I thought the red wine ripple pearl and the pink strata pearl finishes were deemed pretty valuable for Rogers.
