Is it just a personal misconception or have any of you also noticed that stand-alone vintage drum pieces or so-called "orphans" are being purchased at much lower prices than those seen in the recent past?
Of particular note was a Buddy Rich "Be-Bop" snare in WMP that recently sold for just over $200 and a 14 x 14 Ludwig floor tom in BDP that went in the $350 range. Both appeared to be in excellent condition, both functionally and cosmetically.
Not long ago there was no way that you could have gotten either one of those drums at those prices.
