No pics yet, but today I worked out a nice deal (I think).

$350 cash plus a 1970's 8x12 5 ply Slingerland Tom in Black for:

Aug 1940 Leedy Broadway Standard in White Duco. Nickel Hardware. Three ply shell. All original except wires. Sounds fantastic and looks SO cool. FINALLY got a Leedy!

1956-1959 Slingerland (curly "S" badge) Student Model Radio King. All original hardware in Nickel. Three Point Strainer. Clips. Someone refinished it in an ugly red, but it has since been stripped down to mahogany and it just needs a sanding and some clear/the badge reset. Unfortunately when they stripped the drum I think they stripped off the black paint from the badge so it is just brass...but it sorta looks cool like that. "M" stamp on inside....no date stamp visible though. Some random paint drips on the inside that should come off easily enough. Ill be checking the threads on here about the restore jobs that a few members have done on these drums for tips and post some pics when I am done. Other than that it just needs some minor rust taken off of the hardware.

Pretty excited to work on the Slingy and play the Broadway Standard!

Great stuff guys! Keep this thread going....

Picked up a SBP Pioneer(pre-serial , date stamped 1961) for $115. I normally hate to spend that much on a snare...but it does match my set!

Picked up a mid-seventies Slingerland kit last night. WMP, 13-14-16-18-24. No snare. $350. Needs some work - BD hoops not original, chrome on some hoops is flaking. Shells and wrap look good. All-in-all, I think it was a very good deal.
