I've never seen a 12-string Tele either. I wonder if it was special made, or ever in production.
Bun keeps a low profile here, and I think it might be a little unfair to ask him to pontificate about something that may have a bad taste in his mouth, contract or no.

The subject of the thread -is- Bun's drums! A member (indelicately) interjected the subject of lawsuits (which made -me- cringe when I read it) I can't imagine it would make BunE feel good to see it in print either. I attempted to respond and hopefully move the thread back to talking about Bun's drums rather than his legal entanglements.
Let's just do that.
Still looks like a red sparkle kit to me... I want to know if he used that bronze snare that he used with Tinted Windows again. Killer sounding drum. Does anybody know if he's still working with Tinted Windows???

It made you cringe so badly that you responded twice !! also it is public knowledge it is in print in an article in a trade paper and an entire thread is on this subject on the DFO you know the place you are banned for life on, and Bun himself has responded to the thread, that was why I stated what I did. http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2013-09-03/entertainment/sns-rt-us-cheaptrick-lawsuit-20130903_1_band-rock-concert-july-lawsuit
I got banned from DFO as well, why? Because you need five post before you can post on the for sale section. So, I started five threads so I could start selling there, they did not like that. I don't think it takes much to get banned from the great DFO.
Send lawyers guns and money,, dad get me out of this,,ha!
Another great Zevon tune! All this talk of leagal stuff made me think of it.
Thank you!

Alrighty then... back to the topic of Bun E's drums. Found another picture of this set. Stage lighting made it appear red, but it's actually gold. Lugs and spurs make this look like a vintage Ludwig set, but bass claws and strange badge seem to scream retro. I'm a Rogers guy so you Luddy experts will probably identify these drums immediately.

And on the topic of whether Rick was playing a bass in the OP, a blow-up of the original shot reveals an 8-string! What's that??? As I said, I can never figure out what he and Robin are doing with all those strange combinations of basses, 6,8, & 12-strings.

Well, the logo on the kick says Ludwig, but it doesn't look vintage, an anniversary kit perhaps?
Those are Bun E's Ludwig Signature kit in a Citrus Glass Glitter finish. It was released in 2009 as a limited edition Legacy kit. As far as the OP, I think when he said "last night", he was referring to when he watched this on tv. The show was probably from a couple years ago.
