Hi folks!I'm new (and used). I expressly became a new member to ask this question right off the bat. I bought this drum new in the early 80s to go with my 1979 Tama Royalstar set. It's a Tama Imperialstar 6 1/2 X 14 seemless steel snare drum in very good condition, see pics here http://s1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff423/IamJFT/Snare%20Drum/?albumview=slideshowAnyone here have an idea what it's worth? Any other info is surely appreciated. Thanks

That is a mid to late 70's vintage Tama King Beat snare.Parellel snare throw, heavy steel shell,Die cast rims and it still has the one touch muffler.A really clean drum might get close to 3,but your needs a real cleaning.Condition and originality is everything.I see that the strainer is broken, and parts are very hard to come by.They came in 5" and 6 1/2 x 14,and are a great sounding, and underated snare.

You can give it to me along with a $20 bill if you really want to get rid of it.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I love these drums(kingbeats). I have four 5x14 and one 6x14,love them all. If the strainer is missing parts or is messed up it is a challenge to find parts but well worth it. Your friend offering $200 is a good deal.

That looks like a nice little drum - I can't imagine why it would not be worth at least 75-100 bucks.
