This is an early 1950's WFL (I believe 52 - 54 by the badge) 4 piece duco kit. To put it mildly, the finish on this kit is a bit rough and has serious flaking and portions of paint completely mssing in some ereas and I think that the pictures will demostrate that as best as I could with 12 photos. The heads on the kit are calfskin all around on the batter and resonand sides of the bass drum, rack and floor tom and Remo Black Dot and hazy snare side on top and bottom. All calfskins are very old and (not sure about original but old) should be replaced. (Please see my other items for sale for fresh tucked calfskin heads, I will offer free shipping on the drum heads if purchased with the kit) Aside from the paint and needing new heads though, the shells on the kit are three ply WFL shells (Maple, Poplar, Mahagony I believe) and are in very good condition. This is a kit that needs a little T.L.C. with the finish but is still a great sounding kit with that classic Ludwig sound. The kit includes a 9" x 13" rack tom, 16" x 16" floor tom, 14" x 22" bass drum and 6.5" x 14" snare, all in the green / gold duco finish. The snare drum is missing one tension rod but otherwise all parts are there and in working condition.
