WFL 1121 hi hat questions Last viewed: 22 hours ago

Loading...

I have 3 of them..

1 has the riveted on feet...these are the Earler ones...i know that...

other 2 take rubber tips....

What are the years on these?

All 3 have WFL footboards.......

Can someone put up a pic please of what hi hat clutches would be stock?

Also, would all 3 have rubber LUDWIG cups that hold up the bottom hi hat cymbal? What do they call those?lol....

Lastly...which ones are the most desirable?

Thanks!

Blair

the 1121 that has rubber tips was the tranistion between the earlier 1121 and the 1123(ringo) stand. the rubber tip 1121 was an early 60's hat. the 1121 with the flat rubber feet was generally late 50's but carried over to the early 60's. ive got a 65 kit that came with one from the factory and have also seen others like this. most likely just older stock.

both 1121 stands came with rubber hi hat cups. the later design sometimes had one with a tilter for the bottom hat. the early ones did not have this. this cup with tilter was also used on the original 1123 and are interchangeable.

you see more of the earlier 1121 stands around. the most uncommon one would be the early one in nickel. don't see too many of these.

hope this helps some..
