Walberg and Auge and drummer extraordinaire "Thomas Arey" go on tour with the J. Geils Band!! JGB will be sharing the stage with Bob Seger.

We are VERY excited about this! W&A finally gets its name on the big stage! This is history in the making!

Attached is a picture of the kit taken at JGB's rehearsal studio. The band leaves tonight for their first show in Detroit this Friday. (11/14/2014) Check out the tour schedule online and check them out if you can!

Drum set details:

- Sizes: 16x22 bass, 8x12, 9x13 toms, 16x14,16x16 floor toms and 6.5x14 snare.

- Dual inlay bass drum hoops ( found on W&A kits dated 1930's - 1950's)

- Natural finish: pays homage to the drums built by W&A at the 'turn of the 20th century'

- Unique 16 x 14 (diameter) floor tom (1940's - 1970's)

- Bass and tom drum shells are Keller's latest offering, MAGNUM series 5 ply, 40% thinker than standard ply shells.

- Snare drum is a Walberg and Auge 'Elite Series', Walnut Vertical Grain 6.5 x 14, 10 lug. The shell is Keller's highend grain selected "Engineered Wood Solutions". Shell configuration is a thick 3 ply maple shell with Walnut Vertical Grain exterior ply. Maple Re-enforcement rings. 45 degree inner and counter cut bearing edge, Streamline lugs, diacast hoops, super high gloss Polyester finish. (Similar finish used on high-end Guitars)

- Drum hardware is hand selected from the leading hardware manufacturing company, Worldmax USA.(now owned by Rob Kampa and his wife)

- Drums are built and finished by legendary custom drum builder, Rob Kampa.

Mr. Kampa brings decades of experience and wisdom by building drums which stay true to the 'Perfection' standards and philosophy of Walberg and Auge.

Here is some video from the first J. Geils Band show! We couldn't be more honored and proud of this moment!

I can tell you first hand that Rob Kampa makes phenomenal drums. How do I know? I own 6 of his snares plus what was once his personal kit. His bearing edges are some of the very best in the business and his attention to detail is beyond reproach - hands down! I have no doubt that that W&A kit made sounds great!
