Vistalite cleaning-the rest of the story Last viewed: 11 minutes ago

So last week I posted asking about how to clean a Vistalite kit that I had purchased-as I was heading out of town for the week I didn't have a chance to tell the res of the story-

I purchased the kit without the snare for $1250-when I went to pick the kit up, the guy also included all the hard shell cases, a vintage speed king pedal, a vintage Ludwig hi hat stand, two vintage Ludwig cymbal stand with the pivoting feet on the bottom, a mint 16" blue Vistalite floor tom that did not match the set that I will end up selling, a pitted Supraphonic snare, a 20" vintage Zildjian mini cup ride, and a vinate set of new beat hit hast along with assorted extra heads. I own a set of new beats from 1971, but the ones he gave me have a stamp on the underside of the bottom hat that is stamped bottom, new beat hi hats-I have never seen that before and am curious as to what year they may be from.......

So I think I did pretty good-just got back so haven't had time to start polishing yet but once they are done I will post some pics.....

1967 Ludwig Psychedelic Red Downbeat Kit (all original)w/14 in floor tom
Noble and Cooley Walnut snare
Noble and Cooley Horizon 6 piece kit in blue sparkle
2002 Noble and Cooley 4 piece Studio Classic in natural maple
Nov 3 1967 Ludwig chrome Supraphonic
1990s Pearl Session Custom in Amber fade
20 Zildjians
1984 Tama Superstar Bell Brass Snare
Noble and Cooley natural cherry snare

I have a set of New Beats with "bottom" stamped on the underside. Not sure of the year, but here's a pic. The experts may be able to tell. I'd say 60s, but I am no expert on Zildjian stamps!

Can't get the stamp pic to load unfortunately, will try something else...stupid iPad...
