I've been lurking and waiting for the big revel and you did not disappoint. "Big Blue" is a thing of beauty and thanks for taking the time to share the restoration with us!

Ladies & Germs...

As advertised, here is what they call in the adult film business, 'The Money Shot!' -see below-

That's the photo I spent the $ on. :D

Here are some parting shots of Big Blue, ENJOY!

see below

Jeremy - If you want to use any of these contact me and I'll email you the links to the photos. I'll allow some comments to run on these final photos and then I'll say my thank you's and close out the restoration part of the thread. The floor is open for comments and critiques... :p

Mind Blowi I can hardly believe that wrap is original. Superb job. Only thing more I could ask for would be a video clip. I just want to hear the low end that the bass drum put out. I'll bet its marvelous.

Now that the final shots are up, I'd like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to Gus, for selling me the coolest set of drums on planet Earth and to my good buddy, Glenn who spent hours on the road picking up the drums and then meeting me half way between Connecticut and Pennsylvania (which turned out to be in northern New Jersey!) Without his help, none of this would have happened. So, thank you Gus and thank you Glenn.

I also want to thank all you great guys who patiently watched the work from the side-lines and offered me timely and helpful advice and tips all along the way. Mitch helped out big time with a much needed part. Thanks, Mitch.

This restoration project has been the most fun and challenging one I have ever done and I've been doing restorations/repairs for 25 years. There have been a lot of drums come and gone, but none of them hold a candle to Big Blue. I have had a ball, and doing it in front of all of you has been a complete blast. Again, thank you all for contributing and for following along so patiently for more than two months.

Give me a little time and I'll post up a sound clip for you all to hear and hopefully enjoy.

This restoration is officially a done thing!

Warmest regards to all,

John
