From tillerva

Here's the one I'm actually using set up with my set. I really don't think it's bad, the only problem is that it wobbles. . .

Laughing H I was thinking the same thing. Hope it's sanded smooth. I'm thinking slivers.

I like keeping my vintage stuff original, but am gonna have someone sew me a nice thick cushion with an elastic hem that I can pull over my old throne seat. Shouldn't be too hard to do. They make some great foam these days....marko

OUCH INDEED lol! I have an old Ludwig I used for 30 years and the bolts that hold the seat to the poet plate bagan sticking through the vinyl! So,I used shorter bolts.I only use it on a practice set now. I have the Roc N Soc throne.Very comfortable but a pain to carry to gigs. I use a Mapex throne for gigs, fits in my hardware bag.

I'm guessing my early 80's Tama throne isn't so "vintage". That said, it's still very comfortable to me (maybe, don't know any better). Wish I had a pic to post. In closing, I would never sit on that thing previously posted, for any period of time. A vintage kit and acoutraments, do not necessarily mean one should sit behind them (on them) for any period of time. Ouch, still means, ouch!!
