Hi all - this kit (attached) is for sale locally and I am going to jump on it if I hear from the seller. Wondering ... by the looks of this photo it appears early 70s to me. Correct? Did Slingerland make a 25" bass drum on their sets as the seller claims?

If I can get better pictures I will furnish them. Thanks!

I see LOTS of rust covering the bottom portion of those stands,and what may be a non original cymbal holder on the bass drum.Of course ,the stands could have been folded up and put away,so just the exposed areas rusted,but that also indicates,high humidity

My spidy sense says check the shells for water damage.

Yes, I agree Spidey! I noticed that too. Inside the bass drum shell (what we can see) looks good, but if I get the chance to look I'll keep my eyes peeled for water damage.

Yeah, someone got a smoking deal. They were up on Craigslist for 350bux including zildjians cymbals and stands! I coulda cried. But like you say Jeff, another one will come along ... I hope.
