It's not a Ludwig, it looks like an MIJ copy. Maybe a tom converted to a snare?

I'm not sure about the demensions as it's not in my possession yet.. to my eye it looks like an 7.5-8x14. You think its a converted tom?

Lugs are not Ludwig. But, the strainer seems similar with Ludwig. The converted tom might be.

Thanks for the quick replies! If anyone has any additional insight please let me know. I'll have a much better idea of what it is once I see it person..

Looks like a converted generic tom, strainer looks generic to me too. If that floor tom is 16", the tom would be 12 or 13.

Those lug casings look like the ones on 2 Tama kits I've bought for students...

1970 Ludwig Downbeat
1965 Ludwig Hollywood
1970 Ludwig Jazzette

MIT-probably 80's.The lugs are similar,if not identical to R.O.C. Drums. They did a good job building custom drums out of luan shells.Emerald drums were from around the same time.

That would be interesting.. better than the run of the mill stencil in my opinion. But, I have never played anything with a luan shell.. I'll throw up some more pics when I get it. Thanks for all the info guys. Love this board.
