Vintage Ludwig Snare I.D. and info Last viewed: 12 hours ago

I have a Ludwig snare drum that I'm considering selling and I'm looking for any information I can find about it and a ballpark figure as to what it may be worth. I believe it to be from the late 1930's/early 40's. It appears to be nickel plated. The drum is all original except for the heads and is good condition for it's age. Thanks in advance for any information.

Nice drum, but I have to say....It would be a better idea to NOT photograph it on a table that color. Why? Because it really looks rusty due to the reflected color of the table against the shell. -just an FYI since you say you might be interested in selling it.

P.S. Cool Rogers drumhead, too!

Your Silver Anniversary Super-Ludwig Snare Drum which looks like the deeper 6.5 could sell between $800 - $1200. +/- better photos would help when you are ready to sell. The condition of "Good" might bring less without seeing every panel of the snare and close-ups of the strainers and all parts.

I sold one a few months ago.

Here is all the info for your research. Look at the 1935/36 catalog
