GS:
I dropped my 13" LA Camco rack tom using a dynamount as I wanted to accomodate a traditional 'low' ride (see pic).
Originally I planned on doing the same thing on my Oaklawn Kit 12" tom, but never completed installation as I acquired the LA kit before completing dynamount installation and prefer to play the LA kit.
NB: I had some issues with a couple of the pieces and the guy at RIMS was fabulous at helping me out (including, re-cutting a couple of the pieces to work with the Camco hoops).
Additionally, he explained to me that there are two ways to mount the hoops on the dynamount spring/grommet assembly. I mounted the hoop RESTING on the grommet as opposed to the way it is described in the stock directions.
One more thing: I found this 'walk thru' to be quite helpful: http://skinbeatergreg.blogspot.com/2008/02/sbg-how-to-dynamount-floor-tom-system.html
