From Pounder

Anyway you're selling something, and your honesty is more of an issue than someone else's. If, on the other hand, you were selling a guide to pickpocketing or something like that, there could be ethical issues. Just selling a drum part isn't an invitation for the buyer to be dishonest.

lmao i agree pounder.

i could use that badge for an early 60's jazz fest project, btw ; )

old drums are pretty neat!

Thanks to everyone for their responses. I have no need for a Ludwig badge so I will be putting it up for sale or trade as I am in the market for a decent ride cymbal. I'll be putting the Rogers' snare throw-off for sale/trade too. I feel that with folks like we have here at the forum and just all the information at everybodys' hands with the internet these days that for the most part, these parts will probably be used by folks like us and not like the one who put together the crazy snare I bought 25 years ago.

I'm the minority here. I think it's icky to sell the badge. I gave several of mine away to some buds here on the forum that could use them for a project. These are small and insignificant. If you can't use it, why not give it over to someone who could. Your not out anything and the friendship hand will be offered in kind. We all find ourselves in need. I'm just saying ...

I did think about about that and I was maybe going to offer the "MIJ" shell to anyone restoring them for kids.....but I do need. OK, want a 20+ inch ride cymbal and a new 12 string guitar or at least new tuners for my old 12 string guitar that won't stay in tune anymore and as my wife gives me "the look" everytime I say I need to buy stuff for my "GAS" addiction......this gives me a little room to work with her if I can get a trade or get a few bucks for stuff I've had before I met her. Just saying........

With that in mind......I will be posting the badge and strainer and a few other goodies I've had for a while from the basement/attic (clean and dry most of the time) since I'm looking for a good ride cymbal or ? in the "Trade " forum in a few days or so. Thanks for reading.
