Very Precise Ringo kit Last viewed: 2 hours ago

I was fortunate enough to catch 1964 recently at our local theater. They were outstanding (one of the best Beatles bands I've ever seen ... and I've seen quite a few).

Anyway, the thing that struck me about this particular presentation was the equipment. The guitars were seriously cool.

I noticed the Ringo kit and thought you might like to see some up close shots. They have an insurance writer that states NO ONE gets on the stage while the equipment is out.

Here you go.

Mark Benson and the gang have been to my house before buying gear...

Maybe something in this pic came from me....

Fantastic! Ooops, I mean "fab"! Yep, what a year! Why can I remember that night so clearly and half the time I can't remember what I did yesterday? On second thought, what I did yesterday wasn't a millionth as "gear"!

this looks pretty precise too...."spot on" is what Andy Babiuk told me as he displayed it on his booth at the 2010 Fest for Beatles in Chicago. And shudder...it's a rewrap. One of my best!

one more pretty precise Beatle kit...this one is original though. And I'm pretty sure that kit from 1964 is a rewrap too?

Yeah, I made those cymbals and heat bent those spurs. I pulled the bass stop outta my cat, but I still get the credit. The wrap is hand painted ... By me. Let's see ... I turned the sticks, laid the plies, cast the lugs, and saudered the snare wires. Can't take the credit for the heads or the wing nuts. Clapping Happy2
