Picking up this beautiful totally complete Roger’s 7 line dynasonic snare with b&b lugs. Seems like this one is incredibly early one at around 61-62 it seems. The serial is #1063 making it the 63rd 7 line to be made! From the info I’ve gathered there’s not too many around, they used Gretsch shells, and this drum very well could’ve been made by Joe Thompson himself! Any other info you have I’m all ears. Also I’d love to see your lowest serials from any brand I’m sure there’s some incredible ones out there.

Definitely 1961. Before Jerry started doing set up and tuning. I have 1036... Sky Blue Ripple, and 1171... which I showed off yesterday.

Dw, congrats on your early Dyna. Very cool. Love those Gretsch shells.

My earliest COB Dyna is a pre-badge paper tag #3489, no tone control. I have no idea where the sequence began.

My earliest Wood Powertone is #1125 in blue ripple (B&B) lugs. Does anyone know where the Powertone series started?

I am not certain of the lowest Powertone numbers. I have 1196, also Blue Ripple. As is Dyna-Sonic 1036. The Dyna-Sonic has some incorrect parts. Hoops, throw and frame are from the late 60's. Still searching for correct hoops.
