Valuation for Old drum Last viewed: 1 day ago

Loading...

Hi,

I have what I believe is a quite old vintage drum. It is a Boosey and Hawkes Ajax snare drum, and I think, because I have seen an old catalogue on the internet that it dates from about 1928. It may be an early Ludwig which was rebadged by Boosey and Hawkes.

It is quite a basic model and is not in smart condition as you can see.

But has it any value?

Cheers NaiveUk

If you use the search option and put in Boosey and Hawkes, a lot of threads will pop up.

Some of the responders are very up to speed with the brand.

You might try sending a few of them a private message.

Or just hang around here for a while.... someone will have the answers in a bit I'm sure.

Killer snare.... it's a keeper for sure.

Thanks to Kevins and Drums2xs. I looked drum up on a B and H catalogue site and that's why I think it 1928 ish. Both say its a keeper but I am not really a vintage drum collector. Just happen to have some old and mostly quite rough gear.
