Unknown brand drumkit - Can You help me please?

Loading...

Hello,

I saw this kit for sale (pictures in attachment) and the wrap finish captured my attention to it. The price of the kit is so low that I started to look carefully searching for some clues to the brand/model. (I asked the seller for more info/pictures, I'm waiting for an answer).

It seems to be a cheap kit but by other hand I never saw a budget kit with a finish like this before. Pay attention to the bass drum hoops, they have the same pattern.

The rack toms have 6 lugs, floor tom has 8 lugs and the bass drum has 10 lugs (I never saw cheap kits with 10 lug bass drums).

The toms don't have the bottom heads, like in the old days.

Is it Just a cheap kit?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thank You. Cool1

Nice looking kit. Definitely not vintage-you can tell from the double tom mount. It looks like the original brand is on the batter heads and front bass drum head (albeit partially cut). I doubt it's a re-wrap-you may want to ask though. Should be a decent kit-wood hoops too.

I sent an e-mail to the seller but he didn't reply yet.

Well, I'll tell you what... they look ALOT like Gretsch Blackhawks from maybe 10 years ago. But,not the hair band dimensions. So probably built at the same Chinese factory but for a different client. 10 lug bass with wood hoops, 10 lug snare. Not a bad looking kit if it's cheap, cause it's probably basswood, which is pretty soft.

That's right teverson-sr, I think this is a cheap kit but not so bad due to the 10 lug and wood hoops on bass drum.

That is the Vancore logo on the BD and heads. Couldn't have been a very long-lived or successful venture into drumset marketing, as there are no Vancore drumsets on Google images or their own site.
