Put a hold on it yesterday, taking my Rogers in right now. We'll see how it goes down, I might have to throw in some 60's Zildjian hats...

As long as the water damage is cosmetic, and the kit is not a dog sonically I would do it in a heartbeat, and I'm a Rogers guy.

They're mine, and I couldn't be happier. O-Lugs, you were right, sitting behind this kit has changed my life.

Turns out the "water damage" was a bad repair job, at some point someone took the wrong glue to the wrap and it reacted poorly (so the story goes...).

The kit has a couple of small issues, I'm sure I'll have a bunch of questions for everyone...but oh wow, that tone.

Thanks again guys.

I swear to Gadd, this is your kit! It's a Pro-Beat (minus the smaller tom tom and double tom mounting arm)! Even the same finish! Wild!

I'm really glad to see that you got 'em! Don't play them near any fault lines or you'll cause an Earthquake! heh x-mas3

That sure looks like the one! I wonder who kidnapped the 13? I have the tom mount, but am weighing my options for the 14. Using a cymbal mount right now, but the stand is seriously unhappy about the arrangement...

That would be a BIG YES..Trade away...By the way do you know the price for the W.M.P. Leedy set next to the Ludwig set....Mikey

This was the kit at Main Drag right?

I'd been drooling over that every time I walked in there for the past month or so. So cool you snagged it!

Haha, good eye! That was the one indeed. Didn't take me long to drool over it, it was kind of an "I want, I buy" sort of thing which I never do. Gave them my Rogers, some 70s hats, and a couple of bucks to seal the deal.

It's for certain that it's a Pro-Beat sans the 13" tom. There's no doubt in my mind. And my guess is that that set was sent to a dealer when it was brand new and used as "eye candy" to attract people to it. I think the Pro-Beat was Ludwig's answer to the call for bigger drums at that time. Most heavy rock players were playing Ludwigs, anyway, and the idea was "the bigger, the better" when it came to getting the lower range gut-wrenching sound across.

I hadn't seen an actual example of this configuration in all my years, so it's a treat to see one in the catalog finish! Nice! You did VERY well in this trade!

I would polish every square inch of that set -detail everything and then sit back and drive it.Burger Kin
