Let me guess...now that we've abandoned the use of the Canadian penny Ludwig will be making special edition Candian Copperphonic's by melting down unused currency?
Hey Funkypoodle ! Very nice guess, but no..No recycled Cdn. pennies.
But i think that would've been a great idea !.. Steve's was closed today due to "Fête nationale", so.....Next time i'm down there, maybe i'll get some more info ;)

I love Steve's, an iconic shop in Montreal. I was just in Ottawa and stopped in at Dave's Drum Shop. A great little store dedicated only to drums. If any fellow Canadians are up that way stop in, he's got some nice vintage drums and parts. I was able to pick up some small town Leedy lugs I had been searching for.
But still waiting for some top secret Ludwig Canada info . . . .

LOL !! ALL RIGHT GUYS.. I GIVE UP ! THE MOMENT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR..
A little "Birdie" told me that there will be a special edition LM402 (6.5x14 ONLY) Supraphonic snare drum made exclusive to us Canadians ONLY, and no American shops will be carrying them..
It is a special edition/commemorative 150th Anniversary of our nation snare drum, with a
commemorative badge.. I saw a pic of the actual model on this "little birdie"s" phone
and it looks awesome.. But here is the sad part..ONLY 75 will be made ! The "little birdie"
told me that they thought of doing 150 to match the anniversary, but they ended up on 75..
This is the info that was given to me, so pls don't quote me ! ;)
So there it is folks..I cracked under pressure..Now if you'll excuse me, i must "disappear" into the
witness protection program..
